Your culture is shaped by what your people believe they can become.

Growth Mindset is not a motivational concept. It is a science-backed framework that explains why some organisations learn and adapt while others stagnate, and what leaders can actually do to change it. This is our most foundational and most transformative practice.

Endorsed By Prof. Carol Dweck, Stanford University: "I recommend Growth Mindset Institute and Whitespaces without reservation as one of the most highly qualified mindset thinkers and practitioners in the work today." 2019
What We Do

We help organisations build the beliefs that make growth possible.

Pioneered by Prof. Carol Dweck at Stanford University, Growth Mindset science shows that the beliefs people hold about their own abilities shape everything. Whether someone sees talent as fixed or as something that can be developed determines how they respond to challenge, feedback, and failure. That's not a soft idea. It's the invisible architecture of how your organisation performs

These beliefs show up every day. In how your leaders handle setbacks. In whether your teams welcome criticism or avoid it. In whether your culture rewards effort or just outcomes. Organisations with a genuine Growth Mindset culture innovate more, retain better, and build leadership that compounds over time.

Whitespaces is India's certified Growth Mindset practice, licensed by the Growth Mindset Institute and endorsed by Prof. Dweck herself. We use validated assessment tools co-designed with her team to make this work measurable and lasting.

The Core Insight

"It's not about telling people to try harder. It's about helping them understand that their capabilities are not yet fixed, and giving them the tools to act on that belief."

Anjan Bhowmick, Founder, The Whitespaces

Three ways we work with your organisation.

Every engagement starts with a diagnosis. Depending on where your organisation is, we enter the work at the right level — individual, team, or culture-wide.

Assessment

The Mindset Profiler

A validated assessment tool that maps each person across eight Fixed Mindset trigger scales. These are the specific situations where someone is most likely to default to a protective, growth-limiting response. It can be run at the individual, team, or organisation level.

Coaching

Mindset Coaching with iSHIFTâ„¢

Our proprietary coaching framework that turns mindset awareness into real behaviour change. We use it in one-on-one engagements and train it into your internal leaders so that the capability to coach for mindset lives permanently inside your organisation.

Culture

Building a Growth Mindset Culture

A structured 90-day engagement that embeds Growth Mindset across an organisation, building a common language, equipping internal champions, and connecting the work to real business outcomes through our Mindset to Market framework.

The iSHIFTâ„¢ Framework

Awareness alone doesn't change behaviour. This does.

Understanding your Fixed Mindset triggers is only the starting point. What people need next is a structured way to actually shift. iSHIFT™ is Whitespaces' proprietary Mindset Coaching framework — a five-step method that takes someone from recognising a fixed response to choosing a growth-oriented one. We teach it to coaches, leaders, and internal Mindset Champions so the change doesn't rely on an external facilitator to sustain it.

S - Situation

We start by understanding what's actually happening and which Fixed Mindset trigger has been activated.

H - Hidden Beliefs

We surface the underlying fixed belief and name it clearly. You can't shift what you haven't seen.

I - Imagine Options

We reframe the situation through a Growth Mindset lens and explore what a different response could look like.

F - Forward Planning

We set a clear, actionable path forward rooted in a growth-oriented intention.

T - Track

We monitor progress over time. A mindset shift is not a single moment. It is a practice built through repetition.

A 90-day engagement built for lasting change.

A mindset shift does not happen in a single workshop. Our engagement runs across three phases so that by Day 90, the organisation genuinely owns the capability and not just the awareness.

Phase 1, Day 0

Legitimise

We introduce Growth Mindset science to the organisation and run Profiler assessments at the individual, team, and organisation level. Together we identify the areas where mindset work will have the greatest commercial impact.

Phase 2, Days 20 to 80

Build

We run Fixed Mindset Trigger Clinics with leadership and cascade a common mindset language across teams. Mindset gets embedded into the management rituals your people already use — performance conversations, feedback cycles, and recognition frameworks.

Phase 3, Day 90

Sustain

We accredit internal Mindset Champions and train your leaders in the iSHIFTâ„¢ framework. We hand over an execution toolkit your team owns completely, so the work continues and scales long after our engagement ends.

The 5D Framework We don't start with solutions. We start with diagnosis. Every D builds on the last.

We meet your organisation where it is today, with an offering calibrated to your current level of readiness rather than a one-size-fits-all programme.
